To Love Again – Verdict

Today I received an email from the publisher I submitted To Love Again to and they are interested in publishing it! I couldn’t be more excited. Okay, maybe excited and scared. This is something I have wanted since I started my first FanFiction Mending Fences on The Kitten Board over 12 years ago. Granted at the time I was just trying to survive. I wish I could share the excitement with some people, but well, that isn’t what this post is about – this is a happy post! After exchanging several emails, tomorrow I am going to talk with the publisher and find out more.

It’s November and It’s Cold

Well, it is November in Wisconsin and damn it is supposed to be cold and snow next week. What the frilly hell? I have a standing request that is NOT snow before my birthday. Like I want to spend my vacation time shoveling snow and being cold. Okay, so it will make me stay inside and get some writing done. I owe some readers updates on my two fanfiction stories and well my second book could use some more attention.

It has been ten weeks since I submitted my book…the average time to hear something is eight weeks. I don’t know if it is good or bad or normal that it has been longer…maybe they are just busy. Stupid bitty pissy fairy keeps telling me it is because my writing isn’t up to par. I know she is full of shit, but she doesn’t ever go away.

I’ve been re-reading To Love Again and making a couple of tweaks. Adding some missing quotes or punctuation. I realize that I appear to enjoy using the work ‘FUCK’ in my writing. I suppose it is only fair since I do have a habit of saying it often enough. If I hear anything good or bad, I’ll post it…not that anyone reads this, but hey, maybe someone does.

Don’t Call Me Hero – Eliza Lentzski

Don’t Call Me Hero is as expected another amazing book by Eliza Lentzski. The characters and relationships are believable and written well enough that several times I wanted to smack one of the characters for being a dumbass. I have always been a fan of Eliza’s work and will continue to be a fan. I highly recommend reading this book.

Apophis: A Love Story for the End of the World – Eliza Lentzski

As always – Eliza Lentzski does not disappoint with her book. This one I will say started a little slow, but it was a great story and after I read the book I read the extended ending on her blog.

8 Weeks and counting

Well, it has been 8 weeks to the day since I submitted my first book to a publisher. I haven’t heard anything, but hopefully soon. I know that I am supposed to have patience, but I really don’t. I decided on the cover art for To Love Again. I think that is a plus.

In other news…My second book is 1/3 to 1/2 done and NaNoWriMo is coming up and I’m trying to come up with an idea for that. UGH! So many decisions and choices to be made.

Update since it has been a while

Well, not a whole lot to report. My Mother-In-Law has been in the hospital for over a week so that has hindered both my reading and writing. I did get some inspiration – I think I stole it, but nobody can prove it. My second book was stalled for three weeks – well not any more. I think I’ve written almost 30 pages in the past two days. I know that doesn’t sound like much, but when you haven’t been able to write a damn thing – it is EPIC! And yes, I did say my second book. The first one is still awaiting a response from the publisher, but I’m hopeful. If they don’t I will self publish it. To Love Again will be out there for people to read!!! Someday…

Status update – 9/23/2014

Well, since my mind went blank for everything I have been writing I decided to start a new story. I’m trying for the first time first person POV and a supernatural genre. I’m not sure if it is going work, but what the hell, why not try it.
